Our German client is a leading family-owned company with a strong focus on innovation and excellence, specializing in the design, production, and distribution of customized solutions and modular systems that enhance people's daily lives by improving efficiency and convenience. For the new entity in Brisbane, we are seeking an experienced Head of Sales (m/f/d) to manage our client's operations in Australia and New Zealand. The successful candidate will be in charge of managing existing distributors to grow the company's market share in the region. The successful candidate will handle all sales activities independently and will be responsible for the development and implementation of sales strategies, driving revenue growth and meeting the organization's objectives.


Your duties and responsibilities will include:  

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet business objectives in Australia and New Zealand
  • Manage and develop relationships with existing distributors and customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new product lines and markets
  • Develop and manage sales budgets and forecasts, and ensure effective resource allocation to achieve sales targets
  • Work closely with headquarters to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business objectives
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve sales strategies
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify business opportunities
  • Deliver regular sales reports and updates to senior management in Germany
  • Participate in the development of marketing and promotional materials as well as represent the company at exhibitions and events
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the company's culture and values, and ensure they are reflected in all sales activities
  • Reporting to HQ in Germany

To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of ten years' experience in a similar position, with a proven track record of success in managing distributors
  • Sales experience in home appliances, kitchen interior or related products is an added value
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong English communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with distributors, customers, and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to understand the culture and values of a family-owned German company
  • Proven ability to manage sales budgets and forecasts effectively
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, and ability to ensure compliance
  • Ability to work independent
  • Work permit combined with willingness to travel within New Zealand and Australia
