Our German client is an international leader in the field of IT logistic solutions, serving large and well-known enterprises with their state-of-art software. As Head of Sales, you are responsible for establishing our client's product and service portfolio throughout the Australian and South Asian territory. Your main focus is the development and expansion of the South Asian market through strategic and operational sales activities. After successful market development there is a clear perspective to act as Regional Head Australia & South Asia. 


Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic and operative management as well development of the entire business throughout the Australian and South Asian region
  • Responsible for establishing the Australian subsidiary including full P&L and HR responsibility
  • Understand customer business drivers, strategy, challenges and decision processes within the logistics market and propose a suitable sales strategy
  • Develop and deliver customer specific sales and marketing concepts according to revenue and growth targets through close cooperation with Global Sales and Central Marketing
  • Generate new sales opportunities through different approaches and grow current accounts and channel partners
  • Identify customer needs by conducting market research and analysis whilst also observing competition activities
  • Support marketing activities, webinars, online conferences and participate in industry conferences as well as trade shows
  • Actively contribute and collaborate in the budgeting and commercial planning processes
  • Establish a team of professionals on the long term whilst being in charge of the entire recruitment and hiring process
  • Closely collaborate with the headquarter and the international management

To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experiences:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Logistics or similar qualification
  • Professional experience in a leading sales function within the Australian IT logistics market
  • Demonstrate strong entrepreneurial thinking and a high level of commercial understanding
  • Proven track record in generating and managing pipelines to ensure that sales targets are achieved
  • Knowledge of the benefits of voice driven and optimizing logistics software applications and of logistics operations (especially warehouse logistics)
  • Team leading experience within a multicultural business environment
  • Professional, hands-on and dynamic management style
  • Extensive communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, additional German language skills would be an added value
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to travel
  • Strong expertise in updating and reporting sales activities via CRM
