Our european client is a world-class market leader for construction components with more than 5,000 employees in 38 international factories all over Europe, North Amerca and Asia as well as more than 100 individual sales locations. The still family-run company has been steadily developing and expanding in China and has recently recorded an annual revenue around 90 Mio. RMB with chinese market. For its branch office in Shanghai of around 35 employees, we are looking for an experienced General Manager for Greater Shanghai Region. You will be in charge of all dealers and new areas sales activities to meet the market potential growth.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Report to Deputy Managing Director on regular base
  • Lead sales activities including dealer and new marketing sales management, business development
  • Identify and develop new area business opportunities and expansion of dealers in assigned geographical area and market segment to increase business size and market share
  • Draw up sales budget and action plan for the development of dealers and new area, develop marketing plan and promotion activities to achieve sales targets
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive technical knowledge of own products, applications, features, advantages and benefits
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the competitive products and their activities in the market place
  • Provide consulting and technical support to dealers
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly sales report, yearly budget and regular updates

To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experiences:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent education level, major in construction material will be a strong plus
  • 10+ years’ work experience of international company and conditional orientation ability in european culture, 5+ years' sales related management experience on building materials or electrical and mechanical engineering project
  • Strong ability to grow sales revenue and rich experience of dealers and sales management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Chinese Native Speaker, fluent in English language
