Our client is hiring a Director for its subsidiary in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The right candidate will provide leadership and strategic direction for the organization in Saudi Arabia, and brings along many years of leadership experience as well as a strong network in Saudi Arabia's construction industry. Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Full HR and P&L responsibility for the new entity in Saudi Arabia
  • In charge of management and control of the business activities in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait
  • Setting up Finance, Commercial, Logistics and Technical Department
  • Communicate with all relevant departments and bodies in order to facilitate clear and effective communication flow
  • Propose budgets for all departmental activities and manage within the approved budgetary constraints
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and metrics, in line with the company strategy
  • Undertake all necessary steps and activities to meet the business goals and objectives
  • Measuring activity against KPI's and metrics to ensure the company is focussed on delivering results 
  • Ensure that the full product range for the Middle East market is offered and best prices obtained
  • Reporting on activity levels and company performance to the Board of Directors
  • Regularly carry out joint visits with team members to offer advice and support where necessary
  • Oversee external & internal sales activities as well as marketing initiatives to ensure profitable revenue streams from Saudi Arabia/Kuwait/Bahrain territory
  • Ensure that the resources in the company are used effectively and efficiently and that agreed turnover and service standards are achieved
  • Oversee management of material deliveries to customers, incorporating the administration of order entry, procurement of material & accessories plus the efficient management of the warehouse
  • Oversee all technical & training activities to support customers and internal departments, ensuring the correct technical advice & guidance
  • Ensure that governance of the subsidiary is in line with the rules and regulations of the company and adherence to the local Federal Laws of Saudi Arabia
  • Keep personnel up to date with company policy and procedures, liaising with any necessary departmental managers to ensure the same
  • Ensure health, safety & welfare of all employees and visitors
  • Regular reporting to the Managing Director, based in Dubai

To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experiences:

  • University degree in engineering, technical, or related field
  • At least 20 years of working experience combined with several years of leadership experience
  • Working experience combined with a network in Saudi Arabia's construction industry is a requirement
  • Working experience at an international company (preferable German company) is a must
  • Technical sales affinity is required 
  • Excellent English language skills (spoken & written) are required, Arabic skills would be an added value
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
