The Business Process Owner (m/f/d) will be based in Vienna or could work remotely with the willingness to travel extensively. The right candidate will lead the S4Hana implementation in the organization which involves the establishment and continuous adjustment of a joint functional roadmap as well as the execution of crucial initiatives. Business Process Re-engineering and Stakeholder Management are amongst the tasks to provide a good user experience, strive for business data empowerment as well as cross-functional collaboration.


Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Establish end-to-end process vision and develop process roadmap
  • Define and communicate a clear vision and strategy for end-to-end process
  • Develop and translate strategy into operational goals, objectives, and process roadmap
  • Stay abreast of industry process trends and leading practices to inform strategic direction and process enhancement
  • Monitor process performance and identify opportunities for improvement
    • Review end-to-end process performance and provide ongoing governance for process adoption and business demand
    • Participate in governance boards to provide input on items such as process scope and service delivery and assist in resolving operational issues
    • Drive bi-weekly BPO session with sub-process owners and Project Management Lead
    • Participate in cross-BPO forums to share leading practices and leverage cross-process opportunities
    • Work to develop analytics-driven reporting to measure the efficiency of the end-to-end process
    • Prioritize and secure funding for process improvement opportunities
    • Create a prioritized pipeline of process related improvements and opportunities
    • Determine which opportunities to pursue with a focus on reducing process costs, increasing efficiency, and maximizing investment returns
    • Build business cases to quantify the cost and value of process opportunities and advocate for funding as necessary
  • Drive process improvements
    • Drive global adoption of standardized end-to-end processes, with minimal regional / local customization as required
    • Make key decisions related to the process, including target setting, process performance, and financial management
    • Drive major process redesign efforts and be accountable for the successful implementation
  • Promote data-driven and process-oriented continuous improvement culture
    • Foster a culture of continuous process excellence and improvement
    • Collaborate across functions, data owners/stewards, and peers to ensure consistency and alignment across policy, process, and data
    • Collaborate with the business and Project Management Leads to ensure resources are properly trained on processes, policies, and systems
    • Build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization
    • Manage operations and resources effectively through times of crisis and ambiguity
  • Ensure transformation programs successfully align with process priorities
    • Standardize processes to support transformation programs
    • Implement data integrity standards to support new transformation programs and support facilitation of training among process stakeholders
  • Report to Chief Operating Officer


To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experiences:

  • University degree in Business Administration or Engineering, or a comparable course of study
  • Professional and managerial experience in Supply Chain with proven track record related to transformational and/or efficiency increase results
  • Working experience in FMCG would be an added value
  • Experience in ERP implementation, conversion or migration projects, ideally SAP S4Hana
  • Experience in agile Project Management combined with leading people within a project setup
  • Understand the complexity of moving an organization through an ERP implementation 
  • Excellent English language skills, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to link data to process, process to business impact, and translate the latter through pre-defined metrics
  • Analytical thinking and modelling skills are among your strength
