Our German client is a leading family-owned manufacturer of industrial machinery. With an extensive portfolio of products and services, the expertise spans multiple industries. The team of experts is committed to providing exceptional service and support to all customers around the world, making our client a trusted partner in the industry. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Manager to lead our client's further expansion and development efforts across Australia and New Zealand. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan to grow business and to secure a healthy project pipeline in the region whilst identifying new markets, building relationships with potential clients and business collaborators as well as ensuring customer satisfaction.

 

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to expand and lead the entire company and its business across Australia and New Zealand
  • Manage the entire financial performance of the region, including revenue growth, profitability, and cost control
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the region by building, maintaining and developing strong relationships with clients and partners
  • Take decisions regarding the region's strategic direction, partnerships, and growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of sales and project initiatives
  • Lead and mentor a team of business development and technical professionals
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry associations, and government officials
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback 
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences
  • Directly collaborate with the Owner of the company

To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experiences:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business discipline
  • At least 7 years of experience in business development and sales of industrial machinery or components
  • Professional experience throughout the Australian market with proven track record of driving revenue growth
  • Strong knowledge and experience in B2B sales, direct project sales, and distributor management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and partners at all levels
  • Strategic thinker who is passionate to inspire and motivate a team
  • Strong problem-solving ability, good negotiation, and closing skills to drive sales
  • Hands-on and proactive business approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to travel across the region
