The role as Events Manager (m/f/d) involves developing, planning and managing events that are effective and financially efficient for the company's target audience. The ideal candidate should have project management skills and a good understanding of marketing and promotional strategies. Creativity and organizational skills as well as the capability of managing and minimizing potential risks associated with any event shall be key strengths of the future position holder.

 

Your duties and responsibilities will include:  

  • Oversee and strategize all local and international event activities, ensuring the successful planning and overseeing the execution of all events
  • Develop and implement event strategies that align with the company's objectives and goals
  • Create and implement guidelines for event planning structure and best practices
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and sponsors
  • Manage budgets and ensure events are delivered within agreed financial parameters
  • Monitor and evaluate event performance, and implement changes as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve event delivery
  • Manage a calendar of events on a monthly, quarterly, yearly basis
  • Develop and monitor KPIs for the events team
  • Responsible for hiring or sourcing necessary personnel for each event
  • Supervise all staff involved with each event and coordinate the operations of the events
  • Liaise with venue operators to negotiate costs, source, negotiate and handle contracts with vendors and suppliers
  • Approve all aspects prior to the event and communicate the event in an appealing way to the target audiences
  • Lead promotional activities during the events
  • Analyze the event's success and prepare reports post-event
  • Report to the Director of Marketing

To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experiences:

  • Education in Hospitality Management, Events Management or related field
  • Minimum of eight years' experience in the GCC's events industry, with a proven track record of delivering successful events for international companies
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team
  • Full proficiency in English is required
  • Hands-on approach with excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and deliver events within financial parameters
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, and ability to ensure compliance
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
