Our client, a Dubai-based consultancy with German Management, is seeking a highly experienced and culturally adept Chief Operating Officer (m/f/d) to oversee the operations departments and drive the company's growth strategy. The COO will work closely with the CEO and CFO to ensure that the company is operating effectively and efficiently, delivering exceptional results. This is an exciting opportunity for an internationally experienced COO, having the opportunity to work with a dynamic, intercultural team and to make a significant impact on the business.


Your duties and responsibilities will include:  

  • Operations Management: Overseeing all aspects of the company’s operations, including Operations and Property Management. The COO will ensure that processes and procedures are optimized to deliver maximum efficiency and quality
  • Client Relationship Management: Ensuring that clients are receiving the highest levels of service, meeting or exceeding their expectations. The COO will work closely with the client-facing teams to ensure that exceptional results will be delivered to the clients
  • Risk Management: Identifying and managing risks that could impact the company's operations, reputation, or financial performance. The COO will work with the executive team to develop risk management strategies and ensure having the appropriate controls and processes in place to manage risk effectively
  • Quality Management: Ensuring that all employees are delivering high-quality services that we meeting or exceeding industry standards. The COO will work with the quality management team to develop and implement quality management systems and processes that ensure consistency and quality in the daily work
  • Technology Management: Overseeing the technology infrastructure and ensuring that the company has the appropriate systems and tools in place to support the operations. The COO will work with the IT team to develop and implement technology strategies that support the business objectives
  • Compliance Management: Ensuring that everyone operates complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. The COO will work with the legal and compliance teams to develop and implement compliance programs and processes ensuring ethical and legal operations

To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experiences:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field is required
  • A professional certification (e.g. PMP, Six Sigma) is highly desirable
  • At least 15 years of work experience in a senior management role, ideally in a consulting or professional services firm
  • Experience working in the Middle East is highly desirable
  • Strong cultural understanding and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills are mandatory, German language skills are advantageous
  • Proven experience in operations management, including finance, HR, IT, and administration with a track record of optimizing processes and procedures to improve efficiency and quality
  • Strong business development skills, with a track record of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Excellent client relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Strong people management skills, with a track record of managing and mentoring teams to deliver exceptional results
  • Hands-on personality with the ability to multi-task and to deliver at a high-paced working environment
  • Willingness to relocate to Dubai and to commit to a long-lasting working relationship
