Our German client is a leading international provider of industrial cooling and heating solutions, operating across multiple global markets with a strong focus on engineering excellence, innovation, and sustainable technologies. They are currently seeking a Logistics Manager (m/f/d) to oversee and manage all logistics, ensuring the efficient and compliant movement of goods, equipment, and materials across local and international markets. This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of end-to-end logistics operations, working in a dynamic international environment while ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective supply chain execution across the region. 

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Manage daily logistics and end-to-end supply chain operations for import and export shipments
  • Coordinate international and domestic freight movements via sea, air, and land transportation
  • Monitor shipment schedules, ETAs, cargo movements, and delivery timelines
  • Ensure seamless coordination between suppliers, warehouses, transport providers, and project teams
  • Oversee JAFZA logistics procedures, documentation, and compliance requirements
  • Handle UAE customs clearance processes for import and export shipments
  • Prepare, review, and manage shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and logistics service providers
  • Negotiate freight rates and logistics service agreements with external partners
  • Monitor logistics costs and support invoice verification, cost control, and reporting activities

To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, import/export, or supply chain management
  • Mandatory hands-on experience with JAFZA operations and UAE customs procedures
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping processes across sea, air, and land transportation
  • Solid understanding of import/export documentation and global trade compliance requirements
  • Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics service providers
  • Strong negotiation skills in freight rates and logistics service agreements
  • Experience with logistics management systems and ERP platforms
  • Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills in operational environments
  • High attention to detail with strong accuracy in documentation, reporting, and shipment control
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage
