With a deep understanding of the DACH economy, we facilitate successful placements within global management teams across corporate headquarters and entities abroad.
Our European client manufactures equipment for the oil and gas industry. As a BDM, you will be responsible for developing the business in the Middle East and North Africa for all product and service lines offered. You will assist the Managing Director with preparing budget forecasts and developing medium and long-term marketing strategies for the designated region aimed at increasing market share.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Primary contact for customers for commercial, technical, and other issues
- Maintain and develop business relationships with customers and suppliers to facilitate the company’s growth
- Develop and maintain good business relationships with customers
- Prepare all relevant quotations and tender documentation
- Identify and propose to the Managing Director new initiatives, processes and services complimentary to current company services
- Develop and manage new marketing activities (new brochures, LinkedIn)
- Forecast monthly & quarterly sales and gross margins
- Establish and maintain effective communication with team members in Dubai and across other companies
- Establish and maintain effective communication with operations and finance departments
- Cooperate with the finance department regarding debt collection and resolution of financial disputes with clients when needed
- Provide weekly & monthly reports to the Managing Director.
- Lead the implementation of 9001 accreditations including monitoring and reporting activities per 9001 standards
To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experiences:
- University degree in Business Administration or Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in UAE
- Experience with Oil and Gas Field Equipment
- Ability to resolve technical-related issues and offer effective solutions
- Fluency in English language, both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Able to work under extreme pressure and with tight deadlines
- Good computer skills
- Able to work in a team environment and with minimum supervision
- Valid UAE driving license
- Willingness to travel within the Middle East
