Our German client, a well-established industrial group with over 400 companies in 80 countries is launching a new digital business venture in the UAE. Operating under a modern, service-driven brand with the agility of a start-up and the stability of a global player, the company aims to transform how complex B2B clients procure and interact in the digital space. Target customers operate in construction, infrastructure, facility management and manufacturing, expecting reliable, efficient, and highly customizable digital solutions.

To lead this transformation, we are looking for an experienced and hands-on Head of E-Commerce & Digital Rollout (m/f/d) with 360° ownership - from concept and implementation to operation and optimization of an advanced digital commerce ecosystem.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Lead the design, implementation, and rollout of a new E-Commerce and E-Procurement platform based on INTERSHOP
• Develop and execute a holistic digital strategy that automates and streamlines interactions between end users, procurement departments, suppliers and internal teams
• Take full ownership of the platform architecture, UX, data integration (ERP, PIM, CRM), product information workflows and online ordering processes
• Continuously improve platform usability, performance and conversion through A/B testing, UX optimization and performance monitoring
• Monitor and analyze KPIs such as traffic, engagement, conversion and sales to identify growth opportunities and channel performance gaps
• Provide commercial guidance and support to clients on purchasing processes and procurement policy implementation
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure a scalable, secure and high-performing digital infrastructure
• Act as a digital business partner, shaping both the technological and strategic backbone of the company’s B2B commerce

To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experiences:

• A degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Extensive experience in systems analysis, technology evaluation and digital platform implementation
• Proven experience with INTERSHOP is an advantage
• Solid understanding of E-Marketing tools and E-Procurement processes
• Strong analytical mindset, comfortable working with data to make informed, strategic decisions
• High level of commercial acumen, understand business impact not just technical specs
• Entrepreneurial spirit with speed, agility and the ability to self-start and prioritize in a fast-moving environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and commercial teams
• A hands-on personality who thrives in cross-functional as well as international setups
• Fluent in English language skills, additional German or Arabic language skills are a plus
