As the company expands its footprint across the African continent, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (m/f/d) to spearhead growth initiatives in this strategic and dynamic region. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving sales and business development activities, establishing strategic partnerships, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the development and implementation of sales strategies tailored to the African market, with a focus on driving revenue growth and market share expansion
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities in the region, aligning business objectives with market trends and customer needs
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, OEMs, and end-users, to enhance brand visibility and drive product adoption
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential growth segments, evaluate competitive landscapes, and capitalize on market trends and opportunities
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to showcase products, build networks, and generate leads
  • Ensure unparalleled customer satisfaction through proactive engagement, addressing inquiries promptly, and providing technical and commercial expertise
  • Conduct regular reporting and analysis on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities to senior management, guiding strategic decision-making processes
  • Leverage industry knowledge and technical expertise to provide tailored solutions to customers, addressing their unique requirements and challenges
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards, maintaining the highest levels of integrity and professionalism in all business dealings
  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers, addressing application problems and proposing suitable solutions to meet their requirement
  • Report directly to the Sales Manager MEA based in Dubai on a weekly basis, providing comprehensive updates on sales activities and market insights

To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Existing network, strong understanding and successful track record in sales across the African market 
  • In-depth market knowledge of the industrial valve sector in Africa, particularly within the oil and gas industry, is highly advantageous
  • Strong experience in distributor management as well as forcefulness within the direct sales channel 
  • Detail-oriented team player who prioritize continuous improvement and embrace opportunities 
  • Driven character with a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Fluency in French and Arabic is essential, enabling effective communication with diverse stakeholders across the African market
  • Demonstrate unwavering integrity, honesty, and dedication to upholding the highest ethical standards in all interactions.
  • Availability and willingness to travel extensively across the African region
