As a regional subsidiary for the East Africa region based in Nairobi, Kenya, it is their commitment to optimise customer reach in this region and to provide them with the best possible service. With a team of about 140 employees, the mission is to provide customers with outstanding support throughout the entire portfolio. Your role will be to lead operations, ensuring sustainable growth, profitability, and operational excellence across all business functions, drive strategic initiatives that strengthen market position, optimize the value chain, and enhance customer satisfaction.

 

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the East Africa business to deliver sustainable growth, profitability, and long-term market leadership in line with global strategy
  • Define and execute business plans that strengthen market position, expand customer relationships, and grow market share
  • Drive financial performance with full P&L responsibility, ensuring revenue growth, cost efficiency, and budget discipline
  • Lead operational excellence initiatives to improve productivity, service quality, and overall business performance
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and innovative solutions across the value chain
  • Ensure compliance with corporate standards, governance requirements, and all regional and local regulations
  • Direct and align all business functions to deliver integrated performance within a matrix organization
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing local team, fostering strong leadership, accountability, and a performance-driven culture

 

To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and experiences:

  • Masters degree required preferably in Business, Engineering, or Economics
  • More than 5 years of experience in the industry in a senior management role
  • Must have excellent strategic planning and business analysis skills
  • Commercial and Financial acumen
  • Ability to drive data-driven decisions
  • Entrepreneurial and strategic thinking
  • Ability to analyse complex matters and provide innovative solutions
  • Be an initiator and role model
  • Willingness to travel in the MEA region and globally if required, 20-30%
