Known for mechanical expertise and integration capability, the company supports complex projects with tailored machinery solutions and cross-functional engineering teams.
As Senior Document Controller (m/f/d) Industrial Projects & Technical Systems, you will play a key role in supporting project execution by ensuring the structure, clarity, traceability and compliance of all technical and project-related documentation.
- Managing the full lifecycle of project documentation in alignment with contractual, engineering and regulatory requirements
- Reviewing, validating and distributing technical documents, drawings and supplier records to internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring documentation accuracy, consistency and compliance with company standards, customer specifications and audit requirements
- Organizing, updating and archiving engineering and quality documents across multiple projects and disciplines
- Coordinating the document control interface between engineering, procurement, quality and project management departments
- Supporting inspection and testing processes (e.g. FAT/SAT) by providing relevant documentation and ensuring version control during client visits
- Handling subcontractor and supplier documentation, tracking approvals and managing feedback loops
- Acting as the central point of contact for all document control topics, supporting audits and project close-out activities
- Maintaining digital documentation platforms and driving workflow consistency across departments
- Supporting continuous improvement in document control practices and contributing to standardization initiatives
- Occasionally travelling to customer or supplier sites to coordinate documentation activities when required
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in document control, quality management or project support in an industrial, technical or engineering environment
- Strong understanding of document management systems, version control principles and structured document workflows
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, specifications, technical manuals and quality-related documentation
- Detail-oriented mindset with a structured, proactive and solution-driven work ethic
- Confident communication style and ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers and customers
- Proficient in MS Office and experienced with electronic document control systems (e.g. DMS, SharePoint, SAP DMS or similar tools)
- Fluent in English; German language skills are an asset
- Willingness to travel occasionally, depending on project needs
