Our client is a globally operating manufacturer of measurement, testing and monitoring equipment for industrial applications. Known for its engineering expertise and commitment to quality, the company develops and manufactures innovative solutions that support customers across a wide range of industries worldwide.
 
To strengthen our client's team in Dubai, we are currently seeking a Proposal Engineer (m/f/d) specializing in Flow Measurement. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing technically accurate and commercially competitive proposals for customers across various industrial sectors. Acting as the key interface between customers, suppliers, manufacturers and the sales team, you will ensure that all proposals meet customer requirements while supporting the successful delivery of business opportunities.
 
Your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Prepare high-quality technical and commercial proposals for instrumentation and flow measurement solutions
• Review customer RFQs, technical specifications, datasheets, P&IDs, and project documentation to identify the most suitable technical solution
• Configure products using manufacturer configuration software and product selection tools
• Prepare quotations, cost calculations, technical deviations, and commercial documentation within agreed response times
• Develop technical qualification documents, compliance matrices, deviation lists, and supporting project documentation for bid submissions
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, sales engineers, and customers to clarify technical and commercial requirements throughout the proposal process
• Ensure all proposals comply with customer specifications, industry standards and internal quality procedures
• Maintain accurate proposal documentation and CRM records throughout the bidding lifecycle
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance proposal quality, efficiency and response times
• Provide technical and commercial support to the sales team throughout the bidding and proposal process

To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and experiences:

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• 5–7 years of experience in Proposal Engineering or Application Engineering within the industrial instrumentation or automation industry
• Proven experience with gas and liquid flow measurement technologies
• Strong exposure to industries such as Oil & Gas, Water & Wastewater, Power Generation, Chemical, Petrochemical, or other Process Industries
• Solid understanding of industrial instrumentation principles, control systems and automation fundamentals
• Good knowledge of flow measurement technologies, including electromagnetic, Coriolis, ultrasonic, vortex, turbine, variable area, thermal mass, and positive displacement flow meters
• Experience using product configurators and engineering selection software
• Strong commercial awareness with a proactive, customer-focused, and solution-oriented approach
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
