Our German client is a globally active engineering and technology manufacturer specializing in advanced fluid handling and rotating equipment solutions for demanding industrial environments. As Sr. Electrical Process Engineer (m/f/d) Pump Systems, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliable integration, commissioning and optimization of electrical systems within complex pump packages and process installations. Acting as a technical expert at the interface between electrical engineering and process operations, you will support international projects from the technical preparation phase through to commissioning and operational handover, ensuring safe and efficient performance in demanding process environments.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Prepare technical documentation and electrical specifications for turnkey pump systems and associated process equipment
- Oversee the commissioning and integration of electrical systems including motors, VFDs, control systems, instrumentation and power supply units
- Provide electrical and process-oriented engineering support throughout the project lifecycle, from quotation and design review to commissioning and start-up
- Ensure proper alignment between electrical systems and process requirements in complex pump and rotating equipment installations
- Conduct international site assignments to supervise installation, commissioning and operational start-up of pump systems within industrial plants
- Analyze operational performance and support troubleshooting to ensure reliable system operation within demanding process environments
- Act as the main electrical technical authority for international customers, project partners and internal engineering teams
- Work closely with multidisciplinary project teams including mechanical, process and instrumentation engineers
- Participate in intensive onboarding and technical training at the company’s headquarters in Germany
- Take technical ownership of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with quality, safety and industry standards
To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experiences:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Power Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering within the oil & gas, chemical or process industries
- Strong understanding of process plant environments and electrical systems used in rotating equipment or pump installations
- Proven experience in commissioning, start-up and troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems
- Experience working on international industrial projects, ideally including exposure to Middle East markets
- Familiarity with process industry standards and hazardous area environments is considered a strong advantage
- Strong analytical mindset combined with a hands-on engineering approach
- Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken); German or Arabic are considered an asset
- Good knowledge of MS Office; SAP experience is beneficial
- Willingness to travel internationally for project assignments
