Our client is globally recognized company, operating in the engineering and manufacturing sector for rotating equipment. With a substantial international footprint and a significant market presence, the company is known for its innovative approach and sizable impact within its industry. In this pivotal senior management role, you will be entrusted with the establishment and oversight of all operational aspects of our clients' service business in the Middle East. As a key contributor to the senior management team, you will play a vital role in defining operational strategies and specific objectives for the business unit.

 

Your duties and responsibilities will include:  

  • Establish and manage all operational functions of our clients' service business across the Middle East, focusing on the service and upgrade of pumps, compressors, turbines, and electromechanical equipment
  • Proactively define and suggest operational direction and business unit-specific objectives
  • Develop and nurture customer relationships, identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities
  • Oversee operations and manage a multi-disciplined team providing engineering services for rotating equipment
  • Lead the service team towards operational plans and goals, ensuring alignment with overall strategy and business objectives
  • Cascade operational processes to all functional areas, deploying metrics and key performance measures for operational excellence (quality, cost, delivery, response times)
  • Manage profit and loss, budget planning and execution, and monitor financial performance
  • Oversee manufacturing, scheduling, materials management, logistics, engineering, quality, health, safety, environment (HSE), HR, Legal, and other functions
  • Develop international relationships with customers and vendors, operating in a multi-site context
  • Prioritize workloads, maintain a sense of urgency and credibility, and ensure fulfillment of customer needs and business requirements
  • Mentor, direct, motivate, supervise, and monitor team members to ensure high performance levels
  • Overall responsibility and accountability for Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental issues within the ME region
  • Proactively engage and support company initiatives for a culture of safe working, environmental protection, and continual improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with systems and procedures for workforce health and safety and environmental protection
  • Lead EH&S improvement visibly through observation, intervention, and workplace tours
  • Actively participate in scheduled QESH meetings
  • Perform all other duties relevant to the post

To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experiences:

  • Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a related field is required
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role with professional exposure to rotating equipment
  • Deep understanding of the complex service structures and its operations within the oil and gas industry
  • Demonstrated delivery of financial performance and growth within a service-related business
  • Experience in formulating and implementing operational business strategy
  • Strong grasp of engineering, design, and manufacturing fundamentals for components
  • Disciplined, process-led approach to continuous improvement across all aspects of business performance
  • Team-oriented focus, encouraging employee contribution and development at all levels
  • Professional management style inspiring high performance and contribution from colleagues and associates
  • Ability to foster change and lead by example
