Are you an accomplished Engineer with a deep expertise in system engineering and a passion for creating innovative, turnkey process solutions? We are seeking a Sr. Mechanical & System Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team and take on a critical role in the development and execution of advanced pump systems and their auxiliary units. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to complex, high-value projects that set new standards in the industry.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Lead the creation of comprehensive project and tender documents for pump systems and their auxiliary units, ensuring they are designed and executed as fully integrated turnkey process solutions
- Take full responsibility for the construction and design of automated pump systems, encompassing layout planning, pipeline planning (including insulation and trace heating), valve selection, pressure design, instrumentation, explosion protection, structural planning, hydraulic auxiliary systems, and more, in collaboration with highly qualified subcontractors
- Perform detailed calculations for the dimensioning and design of system components, adhering to stringent industry standards such as ASME and AD2000
- Engage in close collaboration with the multidisciplinary project team, including project managers, electrical engineers, and procurement specialists, to ensure seamless project execution from concept to completion
- Analyze and evaluate complex customer specifications, providing critical support in the preparation of bids and the successful execution of projects
- Rigorously review mechanical and hydraulic supply documents and components, ensuring alignment with the defined service descriptions and project objectives
- Plan and oversee system function tests, providing technical guidance and support to the commissioning team to ensure successful project handover
- Play a key role in driving the technical excellence of our projects, ensuring that all engineering deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and performance
To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experiences:
- A completed degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical field is essential
- Extensive professional experience in the design, construction, and engineering of automated pump systems, with a proven track record in managing the responsibilities outlined above
- Experience working in the Middle East will be considered an asset, bringing valuable insights into regional project execution
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of complex engineering work packages, delivering high-quality results within defined timelines and budgets
- A strong customer focus, with the ability to manage client interactions effectively and contribute to long-term relationship building
- Basic knowledge of process engineering systems is desirable, providing a solid foundation for cross-disciplinary collaboration
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential for effective communication in our international projects
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in software such as AutoCAD Inventor, the Microsoft Office suite, and Visio or similar tools, are required
- A flexible, goal-oriented, and cost-conscious approach to working in project teams, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and deliver outstanding results
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed, participating in project meetings, sales efforts, and commissioning support to ensure project success
- Strong team collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively across departments and with diverse stakeholders
