Our Austrian client is a leading international organization operating across multiple markets, with a strong focus on innovation, operational excellence, and strategic growth within the telecommunications and consumer electronics sector. They are currently seeking a Junior Sourcing / Category Specialist to support procurement activities and supplier coordination for consumer electronics and second-life devices. This role offers strong learning opportunities, regional exposure, and hands-on experience in sourcing, supplier management, and logistics within a dynamic environment.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Support the sourcing team in managing the end-to-end procurement process from order to delivery
- Assist in identifying sourcing opportunities through market research and supplier analysis
- Contribute to the development of multi-sourcing strategies under senior guidance
- Coordinate logistics and delivery processes for consumer electronics across multiple regions
- Support RFx processes, including preparing documentation and supplier communication
- Assist in price comparisons, commercial evaluations, and supplier selection
- Help manage supplier relationships and act as a point of contact for day-to-day coordination
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and quality standards
- Support analysis of market trends and pricing within the consumer electronics sector
- Collaborate with internal teams such as supply chain, finance, and operations
- Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and reporting documentation
- Assist in tracking product lifecycle aspects, including after-sales and warranty considerations
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and procedures
- Provide administrative and operational support to the sourcing function
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain (internships included)
- Basic understanding of sourcing processes and supplier management
- Interest in consumer electronics and general awareness of market trends (preferred)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Detail-oriented with a proactive and eager-to-learn mindset
- Basic knowledge of RFx processes is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general MS Office tools
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
