Our German client is an international manufacturer and solution provider specialising in high-quality industrial products and systems used across the construction and flooring sectors. With a long-standing presence in global markets and a strong commitment to innovation, sustainability, and customer-focused service, the organisation continues to expand its footprint in the GCC region through a dedicated regional entity.
Within this growing environment, the Head of Operations GCC plays a central role as the internal leader for all financial, supply chain, and office management activities. The position is responsible for enabling success and ensuring the local business operates efficiently and profitably. This includes driving organisational development, maintaining strong team motivation, and implementing supply chain and operational strategies that reinforce broader sales and brand objectives. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded generalist with strong financial and supply chain expertise, coupled with the leadership skills required to guide the organisation into its next stage of growth in the GCC.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Build up a local organisation with a customer focus and an orientated approach
- Develop the operational team and local staff (customer service, HR, accounting and finance, office etc.)
- Actively support professional and personal team development
- Support the development and execution of a profitable growth strategy together with the Director of Sales
- Implement the company policies and any changes related to it
- Build up controlling, maintaining and optimising all internal processes which ensure an excellent operational output
- Control of all operational aspects, including: profit, financial reporting, taxation and compliance across all environmental and legal requirements
- Further develop the supply chain strategy for the GCC
- Drive operational performance, ensuring the assets are utilised in a cost-efficient manner
- Legal representation and signing authority e.g. banks
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and experiences:
- Academic background in business, finance, supply chain, or a related field
- Strong expertise in financial P&L management, HR operations, and supply chain oversight
- Proven ability to motivate teams and manage operations independently
- Industry experience in a similar or related sector is preferred
- Strong understanding of customer-focused processes and relationship management
- Proficiency with ERP systems, ideally SAP R/3
- Effective management, delegation, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Solid financial acumen with strong planning, forecasting, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Open-minded, pragmatic, hands-on, and willing to contribute beyond defined responsibilities
- Multicultural awareness with experience living and working in the GCC
- Alignment with core organisational values and guiding principles
