In this dynamic growth environment, the Head of Sales – Oman plays a pivotal role in driving commercial success, leading the local sales organisation, and shaping the company’s market strategy. The position is responsible for achieving revenue and margin targets, strengthening customer and distributor relationships, and expanding market penetration in alignment with regional objectives. The ideal candidate is a commercially focused leader with deep industry knowledge, strong stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to build and motivate a high-performing sales team.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute a market-specific sales strategy for Oman, aligned with regional business goals
  • Lead, manage, and expand the local sales team, ensuring strong performance, motivation, and continuous development
  • Drive revenue growth across all channels, focusing on retail
  • Identify new business opportunities, emerging market segments, and strategic partnerships
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, product demand, and market dynamics
  • Ensure accurate sales forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, technical service, supply chain, and finance to improve customer experience and operational efficiency
  • Support the introduction of new products and solutions, ensuring effective positioning and market adoption
  • Maintain compliance with local regulations, business policies, and brand standards
  • Represent the company externally at industry events, exhibitions, and strategic meetings

To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and experiences:

  • Academic background in business, sales, marketing, or a related field
  • Extensive commercial experience in the paints, coatings, construction materials, or building solutions sector
  • Experience in catering to the retail industry
  • Proven track record in sales leadership, revenue growth, and team management
  • Strong understanding of the Omani construction ecosystem, including distribution channels and project cycles
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with customers, contractors, and key market influencers
  • Strategic mindset with strong negotiation, communication, and presentation capabilities
  • Proficiency with CRM and ERP systems
  • Hands-on, pragmatic leadership style with the ability to operate independently
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, including budgeting and forecasting
