Our European client is a leading international provider of automation and safety solutions for industrial processes. Renowned for innovation and reliability, the company has a strong presence in the Middle East and is now expanding its operations in Oman.

The Country Manager will lead and grow the company’s business in Oman, taking full accountability for commercial performance, market development and operational excellence. This role calls for a results-oriented leader with a strategic mindset, strong commercial acumen and a hands-on approach to managing sales, finance, operations as well as project execution. The ideal candidate brings an entrepreneurial spirit, deep industry knowledge and practical experience in automation systems. With the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities, the Country Manager (m/f/d) will drive sustainable growth while ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate standards.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Develop and implement country-level strategies that align with regional and global objectives
• Identify and pursue growth opportunities to ensure sustainable business performance
• Lead business development initiatives to strengthen market presence and competitive position
• Oversee project execution, ensuring quality, safety, timelines, and budgets are met
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and service teams to optimize efficiency and resources
• Ensure compliance with international standards and local regulatory requirements
• Prepare and manage annual budgets, monitor financial performance, and drive cost-effective operations
• Build and lead a high-performing team, providing coaching, mentorship, and succession planning
• Maintain and expand relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders
• Represent the company in industry events, negotiations, and stakeholder engagements
• Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to safeguard business continuity

• Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, product demand, and market dynamics
• Ensure accurate sales forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management
• Collaborate closely with marketing, technical service, supply chain, and finance to improve customer experience and operational efficiency
• Support the introduction of new products and solutions, ensuring effective positioning and market adoption
• Maintain compliance with local regulations, business policies, and brand standards

With a long-standing presence in global markets and a strong commitment to innovation, sustainability, and customer-focused service, the organisation continues to expand its footprint in the GCC region through a dedicated regional entity.

Within this growing environment, the Head of Operations GCC plays a central role as the internal leader for all financial, supply chain, and office management activities. The position is responsible for enabling success and ensuring the local business operates efficiently and profitably. This includes driving organisational development, maintaining strong team motivation, and implementing supply chain and operational strategies that reinforce broader sales and brand objectives. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded generalist with strong financial and supply chain expertise, coupled with the leadership skills required to guide the organisation into its next stage of growth in the GCC.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Build up a local organisation with a customer focus and an orientated approach
• Develop the operational team and local staff (customer service, HR, accounting and finance, office etc.)
• Actively support professional and personal team development
• Support the development and execution of a profitable growth strategy together with the Director of Sales
• Implement the company policies and any changes related to it
• Build up controlling, maintaining and optimising all internal processes which ensure an excellent operational output
• Control of all operational aspects, including: profit, financial reporting, taxation and compliance across all environmental and legal requirements
• Further develop the supply chain strategy for the GCC
• Drive operational performance, ensuring the assets are utilised in a cost-efficient manner
• Legal representation and signing authority e.g. banks
